Brass Crafts as Corporate Gifts: Why Businesses Choose Metal Over Plastic

2026-10-22

Walk into any trade show and a pattern appears: the gifts people keep are rarely the cheapest ones. They are the ones with weight.

Plastic gifts have a predictable lifecycle. They arrive in a branded box, get used twice, and end up in a drawer. They cost little and signal less. When one order can run to tens of thousands of units, a gift that feels disposable sends a message you did not intend.

Brass behaves differently. It is dense, it develops a patina instead of wearing out, and it holds fine detail that injection moulding cannot reproduce. A brass desk piece that stays on a buyer's desk for five years is not a gift. It is a silent, permanent reminder of who sent it.

There is a practical side too. Brass is fully recyclable and, unlike most plastics, keeps meaningful scrap value, which is easy to justify in an ESG report.

Customisation is the other gap. Logos can be laser-engraved, stamped or cast in relief, and finishes run from polished chrome to antique brass and brushed nickel, so one item can match a brand's existing material language.

The cost argument is closer than buyers expect. Above a few hundred pieces the gap narrows sharply, and the brass version does not need replacing next year.

Yuhuan Bangqi Metal Products has cast and finished brass since 2012, working from buyer artwork through sampling to bulk production, with CE and ISO certification on request.

Choose plastic when the gift is disposable. Choose brass when the relationship is not.
